What is HOPE 08?
HOPE 08 is a national initiative that is worked out at a local level. The challenge is for churches to engage in mission in creative and co-operative ways. Churches and individuals are encouraged to 'Do more, Do it Together, Do it in Word and Deed' throughout the year. For many years, Christians all over the UK have been doing fantastic work in their communities, actively loving and serving those around them. HOPE 08 is about harnessing that activity in order to see long-term, lasting change in our communities by following the example of Jesus - word and action mission! HOPE 08 is an exciting opportunity for our churches to serve the community where we live in a host of creative ways and point people to Jesus while we do it.
Who is involved?
All Churches are invited to take part. HOPE 2008 is supported locally by Christians Together in Tunbridge Wells, Tunbridge Wells Fellowship of Evangelicals and Tunbridge Wells Churches Social Responsibility Group.
How to be involved?
Churches can be involved to the extend they feel able. Either by bringing something they already do under the HOPE 08 banner or by joining with other churches for a particular initiative, or by joining together in town-wide initiatives.
